Refurbishment of an existing office to create a dynamic new HQ office in Dublin for Heineken Ireland. Highly commended in the 2015 RIAI Interior Design and Fit-Out awards and nominated for the 'Small Office of the Year' at the 2015 Internal Design and Fit-Out Awards.
Heineken International is one of the largest and best known brewing companies in the world, with offices in over 70 countries. Heineken Ireland employs approximately 400 people in Ireland, between its headquarters in Cork, regional sales people and the Sales/Marketing in Dublin. MDO were asked to come on board to design their Dublin offices.
"We have had an extremely positive experience of working with MDO Architects since the beginning of the project. A highly competent team of professionals, which were an absolute pleasure to work with."
Heineken’s Dublin office currently consists of 40 employees, who are highly transient, with regular traffic from the Cork Headquarters. Heineken appointed
MDO to provide an office fit out to cater for an expanded base of 70 employees in their 12,00sqft location, balancing dynamic, innovative and free flowing open plan workspaces and smaller scale spaces for complimentary functions, such as private meetings, phone calls and thinking space, accompanied by a bar and several meeting rooms.
MDO were appointed in February to achieve a construction programme of 9 weeks for a Get-In date in July. Fast-tracking the design and procurement stages were key in achieving this goal. The design consists of open plan desking within the main body of the office interspersed with break-out seating areas. Nine meeting rooms of varying sizes are provided, catering for 2 person meetings up to 14 people, with full AV capability along with a bar.
