FACEBOOK EMEA HQ
Beginning in 2014, Facebook established the MDO / Studio Libeskind-designed offices at No.4-5 Grand Canal Square as the tech giant’s EMEA HQ - the only building outside of Menlo Park, California which they fully occupy.
While combining to offer over 23,000 square meters of office space, the buildings at No.4 and No.5 have also been designed to operate independently of each other. Linked by a dramatic atrium reception, with a Frank Gehry-designed interior, both buildings contain roof terraces that offer panoramic views across Dublin.

Reflecting on the scheme’s adaptable design, Facebook Ireland chief Gareth Lambe commented that the shell condition of the building “gave us the freedom to design the interior spec to fit with Facebook’s culture while incorporating the building’s rough and industrial feel with the needs of a contemporary office”.
