Senior Interior Architect / Interior Designer / Architect

At MDO we are seeking a Senior Interior Architect, Interior Designer or Architect to work across our hospitality projects.

About The Opportunity

The interiors team within the practice specialises in the luxury hotel and workplace sectors, and we are seeking a talented and capable person to join the team across a variety of hospitality projects across Ireland for local and international clients.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of 7 years work experience in the Irish or UK market.
  • Strong Revit and Enscape / Lumion experience is preferred. The practice works solely in Revit and all projects are carried out in BIM from inception to completion.
  • Knowledge of concept stage, design development, detailing of joinery, tender pack assembly and dealing with on-site construction queries.
  • Strong design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of the Irish Building Regulations in so much as they relate to interiors.
  • The role will be involved in design team and site meetings and will be one of the daily points of contact for client, design team and contractor teams.

  • An enquiring mind who engages with their sector and who asks questions when needed.
  • An innovative designer with an interest in the luxury hospitality and workplace sectors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with project architect/associates/directors.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Pragmatic awareness of client programmes and budgets.
  • Experience in client engagement is desired.
